A very warm welcome to my business website! I have many years’ experience and it seems that most people visiting my website have been recommended by a relative, friend or colleague.

My qualifications include a first degree in Physics with Acoustics, a Master’s degree in Computing for Commerce and Industry, a PGCE at Master’s level in Primary Education (which included a research project on Maths homework), a City and Guilds qualification in teaching 16-adult, and ABRSM awards at Grade VIII in Piano, Guitar and Music Theory.  Ever since I took up the violin as a child, I have loved making music, and sharing the enjoyment of it with other musicians.

I specialise in professional music lessons on the piano, the classical guitar and music theory – I have ABRSM grade 8 in each of these subjects – to a variety of people (both adults and children) living in the Bournemouth and Christchurch, but I have had students from as far afield as Ringwood and Ferndown. As well as music lessons in these subjects, I have provided tuition in singing and song-writing.

I also have a lot of experience providing effective face-to-face tuition in English, Mathematics and logic from Key Stage 2 through to the 11+, SATS, secondary school preparation, Key Stage 3 and GCSE Mathematics. In addition, I have many years’ experience providing Functional Skills tuition in classroom settings to adults, covering English, Digital Skills and Maths. For sixth form students, I also offer support with the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and Theory Of Knowledge (TOK) course.

​Safeguarding considerations are paramount and I subscribe to DBS Update, which means my DBS certification is continuously up-to-date. The business is also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a Data Controller.
